JUSTON – Tradition and technical mastery in industry
- Founded in 1853 in Valence by Mr Jean-Pierre Juston, Drôme, the company JUSTON MAISON – later became JUSTON FRERES – is a manufacturer of clogs. Then the company specialized on leather straps for clogs.
- It gradually expanded its range to 1900 to industrial uses of leather, with webbing and industrial transmission belts of leather.
- Besides the leather, scenting the potential of new materials, the company is expanding its expertise to synthetic materials such as polypropylene and polyester which replaced the leather for industrial applications in the 1950s.
- In the 1960s, Mr Juston diversifies the company with the creation of the aerosol industry.
- 1981: The company, cramped in its premises from the city center, moved to its new site, still in Valence, industrial area, with a new plant 1800M2. The company JUSTON develops proprietary processes webbing coating and expands its expertise in stowage and lifting.
- 2005 : The company is modernizing, investing in a new line aerosols, renews its sewing automata, investing in new means of production.
- 2013: The company was taken over by a new leader, Jerome Dorbes, with the support of the family JUSTON
